Artists Residency Program for the Loisaida Festival has a local focus, yet is international in scope; selection criteria favors projects that engage/reflect a Latino sensibility and the challenges/diversity of our city.

Pimp My Piragua


Pimp My Piragua is a mobile public art project by Miguel Luciano that commemorates the innovations of Latino street vendors, transforming a traditional pushcart for selling shaved ice (Piraguas) into a hyper-modified pushcart-tricycle with a hi-fi sound and video system.
